Southern Festival of Books Twitter Contest

Back by popular demand, the Southern Festival of Books‘ Twitter contest kicks off today @SoFestofBooks. The Nashville festival, scheduled for October 12-14 in War Memorial Plaza, hasn’t announced its lineup yet, but will start to give Twitter clues daily starting today about authors who will be there. Followers can then guess which author the festival is tweeting about for the chance to get front-of-the-line signing privileges.

The first follower to guess the author correctly wins. Winners and the week’s featured author will be announced by 5 p.m. CST each Friday throughout the contest. Weekly contest winners will receive a Speed Reader pass and a 2012 Festival poster. You must be 18 years or older to participate, and all answers must be submitted as an @reply to @SoFestofBooks. Direct messages will not be considered.

The Southern Festival of Books has always been free and has presented such authors as John Brandon, Mark Childress, Joyce Carol Oats and Garrison Keillor over the past 20 years. Stay tuned for the fest’s first Twitter clue at noon today!
