It’s lavender season in the Texas Hill Country, and Lakeway Resort and Spa, nestled on the banks of Lake Travis, has created a lavender journey of the senses that includes a cocktail crafted from this seasonal flower that surrounds the resort. The typical lavender season in the Hill Country runs from May through July, with fields blooming, farms selling products and several festivals and trails. If you can’t get to Texas, you can recreate your own lavender journey with this cocktail at home.
2 oz. Grey Goose Vodka
Juice of a fresh lemon
1 oz. lavender simple syrup
Shake vigorously. Sugar rim a chilled martini glass and garnish with lavender sprigs and a lemon slice halved.
