Gulf Seafood Top 100
We’re excited to announce that we’ve been chosen as a Top 100 Seafood Blogger by Eat Gulf Seafood! Described as a list of Gulf Coast seafood enthusiasts from around the world who support the organization’s mission, the Top 100 includes the likes of Taste of the South Magazine, Foodimentary, Cooking Light, Eater Altanta and Saveur, so this is quite an honor.
There’s no question that we love Gulf seafood over here. South Louisiana has access to the best seafood in the world, as do the other coastal Southern states, and after the oil spill, we made it our mission to let readers know that Gulf seafood was safe to eat. After visiting areas like Gulf Shores and Dauphin Island, where we talked seafood with Chef Alton Brown aboard a shrimp boat, we witnessed firsthand the viability and freshness of Gulf seafood. In the words of Brown, “Seafood is safe. Life’s dangerous.”
