As I Lay Dying Trailer is Out
Debuting next week at the Cannes Film Festival, James Franco’s “As I Lay Dying” has its first trailer. Filmed last October in Jackson, Carthage, Raymond, Learned, Canton and Puckett, Mississippi, Franco’s version of Faulkner is a lot to take on, but the trailer is packed with drama, all surrounding the death of Addie Bundren and her family’s journey to grant her dying wish and bury her in the town of Jefferson.
Depending on how Franco deals with 15 narrators and Faulkner’s stream of consciousness style, the key to understanding the movie may be having read the book. Now you know what to move to the top of your “to be read” pile after “Gatsby.”
