Muscle Shoals Sessions at FloBama
Support the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in a series of concerts.
Tomorrow night, the second installment of the Muscle Shoals Sessions concert series will take the stage at FloBama Music Hall in Florence. An effort to raise money for the Alabama Music Hall of Fame and Muscle Shoals Foundation, the six-part series is featuring legendary artists and up-and-coming musicians from the state of Alabama through October. The series is held every third Wednesday of the month, with St. Paul and the Broken Bones (pictured) and Shoals natives The Pollies taking the stage tomorrow night.
Featured in Paste Magazine’s “12 Alabama Bands you Should Listen to Now,” Birmingham-based St. Paul has been around for less than a year and recently opened for John Mayer in Tuscaloosa. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, and music starts at 7 p.m. While the Alabama Music Hall of Fame has no plans to reopen, proceeds are going toward keeping the power on so that exhibits stay safe and intact until they can find a new home. Several Alabama cities, including Birmingham, Montgomery and Tuscaloosa, are vying to be the hall’s new home.
Upcoming concerts are scheduled for July 17, August 21, September 18 and October 16, with lineups to be announced soon. Get a taste of St. Paul and the Broken Bones here:
