Swamp Pop in a Bottle

Known around South Louisiana as a genre of music made famous by the likes of Cookie and the Cupcakes, Bobby Charles and Johnnie Allan, Swamp Pop is now available in a bottle. A new soda created by Lafayette men’s clothing boutique Genterie owner John Petersen and Collin Cormier of Viva la Waffle food truck, Swamp Pop comes in four flavors. There’s Noble Cane Cola, enhanced with the flavor of Louisiana figs; Satsuma, named after the citrus fruit available in back yards all over Acadiana; Praline Cream Soda, which speaks for itself; and Jean Lafitte Ginger Ale in honor of the area’s notorious pirate and blending crisp cucumbers with spicy ginger.
Sweetened with sugarcane, Swamp Pop calls to mind old-fashioned sodas and also comes in a glass bottle for extra nostalgia. Keep an eye on the Swamp Pop Facebook page for local tastings and where to find the soda in stores soon. For a taste of some swamp pop right now …

I’ve noticed that although it’s been clearly stated that Swamp Pop is made with Louisiana cane sugar, it is nearly impossible to find a complete list of the remaining ingredients. Do you have a list of the ingredients?

We don’t, Max. You would probably need to contact the company directly for that.
