Queen in a Jar
by Robin Peroldo
For Aaron Iannitelli
Turn up those Crosley spun tunes
and righteous Sabbath hymns.
Killer Queen on worn out vinyl,
veins swell with rocket fuel blue.
We lift our arms and ignite …
Blast off! Across the cosmic sky,
our deep space sovereign-paradise.
Flying higher than God ever took us
and you can’t bring us down again,
anymore then you could keep
Freddy Mercury in a jar.
