The Rayburns are damned if they do, damned if they don’t.
After news that Florida Keys-shot family drama ‘Bloodline’ will return for a second season May 27, Netflix has released a brooding trailer for the show. John tells his siblings “we’re always going to be dealing with this,” referring to Danny’s death. And that’s exactly what the second season has in store. As the Rayburn siblings deal with the repercussions of killing their brother, several characters from Danny’s life pop up “to make those people pay.”
There’s his supposed son, Nolan, played by Owen Teague, who turned up at John’s house at the end of season one; Ozzy Delvecchio, a dangerous gangster looking to collect on debts, played by John Leguizamo; and Evangeline, a streetwise woman from Miami who has some unfinished business with the Rayburns, played by Andrea Riseborough.
John, Meg and Kevin may have found a way to get rid of Danny, but they can’t erase his past. The family will have to decide where their loyalties lie as they attempt to make things right this season. As the trailer concludes, the ghost of Danny asks “When’s it going to end John?” We hope not at a second season.
