My Huckleberry Friend Cocktail

The tales of Manhattan socialite Holly Golightly, created by author Truman Capote, come to life through the newest menu of specialty drinks now available in the Cocktail Bar at New Orleans’ Windsor Court Hotel. The “Breakfast at Tiffany’s Collection,” created by Head Mixologist Kent Westmoreland, includes The Mean Reds (with cachaça, lime, pomegranate grenadine, Angostura bitters and sparkling water), Lula Mae Barnes (with mezcal, bourbon, lime, agave nectar and Palermo bitters), A Very Stylish Girl (with Zaya Rum, lemon, lime, sugar, Angostura bitters, nutmeg and cinnamon), and My Huckleberry Friend (with gin, lemon, Lillet Blanc, blue curacao and champagne).

Westmoreland was kind enough to share his recipe for My Huckleberry Friend with us, but if you find yourself in New Orleans this spring, stop by the Windsor Court for your own taste of the Breakfast at Tiffany’s Collection.

.75 oz. gin
.75 oz. lemon juice
.75 oz. Lillet Blanc
.75 blue curacao
Splash of champagne

Shake all ingredients, except champagne, in a cocktail shaker. Pour into a chilled coupe glass and top with champagne. Garnish with a white sugar swizzle stick.
