Southern Timeshare Resorts on the Beach

As we head into the cooler months, you might be thinking about taking one last beach vacation before the year’s end. There are a lot of great resorts on the beach in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina, but few can match the luxury of timeshare resorts. These resorts are similar to typical hotels, but usually offer significantly more amenities and larger, more luxurious rooms. Here are a few you should look into before booking your next beach vacation in the South.

Wyndham Ocean Boulevard

This beachside resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, boasts five swimming pools, eight hot tubs, an exercise center, a playground and a superb location right next to the boardwalk. The boardwalk in Myrtle Beach is one of its main attractions, aside from the beach. Here, vacationers can find restaurants, arcades, souvenir stands and even an amusement park. Not to mention the SkyWheel, which is one of the tallest Ferris wheels in all of the United States.

The Wyndham Ocean Boulevard timeshare is an award-winning resort with live music, shows, themed dining nights and much more. It’s one of the best values on Myrtle Beach and a perfect spot for your next family vacation.

Marriott’s Barony Beach Club

Located right on the beach on the luxurious Hilton Head island, the Marriott Barony Beach Club is perfect for a family getaway. Its villas offer full kitchens with refrigerators, ovens and dishwashers so you can cook a healthy meal for the family and save some money on dining out costs. Each room has free Wi-fi and private, furnished balconies as well. Nightly rental prices can be a little on the higher end, but if you buy a timeshare at this resort you’ll experience significant savings over time.

Tybrisa at the Beach

Georgia doesn’t have nearly as big of a tourist scene as South Carolina, but the Tybrisa at the Beach timeshare resort is worth a mention. This beachside resort is located on the low-key Tybee Island, which is known for its wide beaches, historic lighthouse, pier and pavilion. Tybrisa at the Beach offers a pool, exercise room, ping pong and pool table and free Wi-fi. All villas at this resort have oceanside balconies and can accommodate up to six people.

Wyndham Ocean Walk

You won’t have any trouble finding a beachside resort in Florida, but if you’re looking for something with ocean views and a good name brand behind it, the Wyndham Ocean Walk on Daytona Beach is a perfect choice. This high-rise resort is located right on the beach and is within walking distance to nightlife, dining, entertainment and more. Kids love the lazy river and water slide at the resort, as well as the play areas and baby pools. Adults can kick back and have a cold one at the on-site bar overlooking Daytona Beach. Rooms are spacious and come with a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, private bedrooms and large living areas. Some units even have Jacuzzi tubs!

Timeshare Resales

Before purchasing a timeshare at one of these resorts, make sure to check out timeshare resales for sale and rent by owner on the secondary resale market. Timeshare resales are nearly the exact same as timeshares purchased through resorts directly, but are usually significantly cheaper. Similar to a new car, a timeshare purchased directly through a resort loses about 50 percent of its value the second it is purchased from the resort directly. If you’re going to buy a timeshare, a timeshare resale is always a smarter choice.
