Craggy Gardens
by Danny P. Barbare
After sitting in the sky
the beautiful
ear popping
view
of laurel, queen anne’s
lace, and day lilies
climbing down from the
sun
on a winding road
surrounded by greenery
perfect as a mountain
like a blade of grass.
Danny P. Barbare grew up and lives in Greenville, South Carolina, with his family. He works at a local college. His poems have appeared in numerous magazines and online journals. He started writing poetry in 1981. Read his previous poems in Deep South here.
