Poison Ivy Cocktail Recipe

Copper Vine in New Orleans’ Central Business District is upping its weekend brunch game with bottomless mimosas, 30 wines on tap and a variety of creative signature cocktails. The Poison Ivy with Tito’s vodka, simple syrup, lemon juice, Herbsaint and basil is perfect for summertime approaching. And the best part about this cocktail is that it delivers none of the discomfort of the South’s leafy green vine, only soothing relief.

2.5 oz. Tito’s
1/2 oz. simple syrup
1/2 oz. lemon juice
5 spritzes absinthe
Basil leaf

Spritz a martini glass with absinthe. Add all other ingredients to a shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously. Garnish with a large basil leaf and lay atop of martini.
