Make Elvis Éclair Cake From ‘Stand By Your Pan’

Nashville-based country artist and TikTok star Hannah Dasher is returning to her Southern roots with her debut cookbook, Stand By Your Pan: 100 Easy and Affordable Comfort Food Recipes So Good They’ll Hurt People’s Feelin’s, on sale now.

Raised on the kind of Southern cooking that didn’t need labels or luxury ingredients, Dasher’s book is a love letter to vintage comfort food, kitchen-table hospitality and the confidence that defined generations of Southern home cooks. Inspired by the meals of the 1970s, Stand By Your Pan brings back casseroles, skillet dinners and nostalgic desserts—updated just enough for today’s kitchens, but never stripped of their soul.

Her Elvis Éclair Cake is a playful Southern mashup that combines classic no-bake éclair cake with Elvis Presley–approved flavors.

What it is

  • A chilled, layered dessert (no oven required)
  • Built with graham crackers, vanilla pudding or pastry cream, whipped topping
  • Finished with a chocolate frosting or ganache
  • “Elvis” flair usually means banana and peanut butter folded into the layers

Why it’s iconic

  • It tastes like a banana cream pie, chocolate éclair and peanut butter sandwich all at once
  • It’s rich, nostalgic and borderline excessive—in the best way
  • The name nods to Elvis’s famously beloved banana–peanut butter combos and his Southern roots

Cultural vibe

This is the kind of dessert you bring when:

  • You want applause without turning on the oven
  • You’re feeding a crowd
  • You respect church-basement dessert tables and 1970s Southern hospitality

It’s indulgent, kitschy, and unapologetically fun—very Elvis.
